Perfect Apple Pie
 
Ingredients
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 Teaspoon(s) flour
  • 6 Cup(s) thinly sliced, peeled apples
  • ¾ Cup(s) sugar
  • ¾ Teaspoon(s) cinnamon
  • ¼ Teaspoon(s) salt
  • ⅛ Teaspoon(s) nutmeg
  • 1 Tablespoon(s) lemon juice
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 425.
  2. In large bowl, combine all filling ingredients; toss lightly. Spoon apple mixture into pie crust-lined pan. Top with second crust and flute; cut slits in several places. Bake at 425 for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
  3. tip - cover edge of crust with strips of foil after 15 to 20 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning.
