Honey Soy Chicken

Honey Soy Chicken
  • 1 3-pound broiler-fryer cut up
  • ¼ Cup(s) honey
  • ¼ Teaspoon(s) ground ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ Pound(s) fresh or 16-ounce package frozen chinese pea pods
  • 1 large carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 15 ounce can straw mushrooms, or 16-ounce can whole mushroom
  • 1 Tablespoon(s) sesame or salad oil
  • 1 Tablespoon(s) sesame seeds
  1. Place chicken in 12"x 8" dish. Combine honey, ginger, garlic, and 1 tablespoon soy sauce; brush half of honey mixture over chicken. Cook, covered with waxed paper, on high 13 to 15 minutes, until checken juices run clear when tested with a knife, brushing with remaining honey mixture.
  2. Cook fresh or frozen pea pods, carrot, and 2 tablespoons water, covered, on high 4 minutes; drain. Stir in mushrooms, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Cook on High 1 to 1½ minutees, until heated through. Serve with chicken
